I am an experienced Mathematics tutor up to A-Level and Science tutor up to GCSE level, with over 12 years of teaching experience. I am currently working as a full-time tutor specialising in Mathematics and Science, helping students of all abilities and age groups improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance.
Over the years, I have worked as a Maths specialist in schools and universities, including teaching international foundation students at Kingston University, London. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts, strengthening problem-solving skills, and preparing students effectively for exams.
Before becoming a full-time tutor, I worked as a Geophysicist in the oil and gas industry, where I processed seismic data to identify potential oil and gas reserves around the world. This role required strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of mathematics and physics, which I bring into my teaching.
Academically, I studied Geophysics at IIT Roorkee, India, and later completed a Master of Research (MRes) in Geophysics at IPGP, Paris, France. Geophysics is an interdisciplinary field combining advanced mathematics, physics, geology, and computer programming.
I achieved A* grades in Mathematics in both my GCSE and A-Level equivalent examinations in India, reflecting my strong academic foundation in the subject.

My daughter has recently started online tuition with Mr Shahrukh for A level maths, focusing on Statistics and Mechanics. We have found him to be very responsive to messages and any questions we’ve had and my daughter commented that she likes the way he breaks the topics down which is helping her to understand topics she has previously struggled with.

Mr Mohammad helped my son (16) in preparation for maths gcse, incredibly knowledgeable and supportive teacher. His method was so much simpler and more insightful than how they teach tricky concepts at school making things much easier to understand. My son’s year 10 grade to year 11 mock went up 2 grades. Highly recommend.
