I am an experienced Chemistry teacher with a first class degree and doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. I am studying online for a MA in Education with the University of Bath this year but would also like to spend a bit of time tutoring online.

I am a supportive teacher who is passionate about helping students to understand Chemistry and to become independent learners. I am a big believer in giving students regular feedback on their work and in helping them to self-reflect and set their own targets. I enjoy working with students on a one-to-one basis and try to make the learning experience meaningful and engaging so that they develop a love of learning.

My last DBS certificate to show no criminal convictions in the UK was 2007, and I have similar certificates from Belgium (2006-2010) and China (2011-2020) where I have lived over the past 14 years.

Availability: I live in Belgium (Brussels) and so will be available to tutor UK-based pupils online.

Experience: I started teaching about 15 years ago after completing my teaching qualification with the University of Newcastle. I have been the Head of Chemistry in the two international schools in in China (Beijing). I have experience in teaching and tutoring GCSE, A-level and IB Chemistry to students from different cultural backgrounds.
