After graduating with a BA in French and Business Studies, I worked in my father`s business from Sales to Warehousing and was promoted to Deputy Branch Manager. After his business was bought, I was headhunted to be part of the Marketing team of a nationwide car parts distribution company. I worked on many projects and then moved into a Supply Chain planning role for a global cash machine company. I have always been keen on the transfer of knowledge and after leading classes in MS Office packages for my colleagues during 2018, I decided on a change of career to tuition.

While the population is increasing, it seems that thanks to the internet new methods of communication are breaking down barriers. Conversing with other nationalities has always been an important part of business and everyday life. An ability to speak to someone in their native language has been a passion for me, and one for which I have respect and a sense of achievement. It is a key skill I have been lucky to retain. I am fluent having lived in Paris during university and the "use it or lose it" mantra means I like to visit France regularly.
I can offer conversational and primary skills for any age up to KS3 level for anyone interested in keeping up their French, for holidays, business or studies.
I am also able to teach English at basic level if you want to improve your English reading, writing or comprehension.

I consider myself to be patient and committed. I believe these are two key skills of a good tutor. A language is a living thing and always develops. I want to show my students how to progress using a fun and entertaining method, and despite being a new tutor I want to show that my experience with people counts.

I am working towards a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET - formerly PTLLS). I have also applied for an Enhanced DBS check which I hope will be successful in the very near future.

Availability: Available one-to-one from Wednesdays to Fridays 12pm to 9pm, and 12pm-6pm most weekends. I am also available to teach online by Skype, Webex or FaceTime.

Experience: I am experienced in MS Excel from a basic to advanced level, and also other MS Office programs. In my last working role, I created bespoke Excel training sessions for my colleagues. It earned me a company achievement award.
After this and because I enjoyed tutoring and mentoring colleagues, I could see a future in delivering a quality service and wanted to pass on my knowledge to others. My ethic is that work can be hard, but has to be fun and rewarding.
I offer tutoring in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, all necessary tools in the modern workplace. From the basics to understanding and writing complex formulas, macros and pivot tables and making presentations really stand out. Whatever you need to learn, I will adapt my teaching style to help you to achieve your goals.
