A Qualified Science Teacher (Biology & Chemistry specialist), I have worked in academia and the education sector for over thirteen years. I have a BSc in Biomedical Science and MSc in Medical Microbiology.

Experience: I have over 6 years classroom teaching and tutoring experience, with a focus on KS3, GCSE and IGCSE students. My goal is simple - to help students who struggle with science develop confidence and pass their exams.

I have worked with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities including tutoring students identified as underachieving. As a Qualified Teacher, I am fully conversant with all major exam boards (Edexcel, AQA and OCR). My specialism are Biology and Chemistry

Tutoring Approach:
I help children master the foundational concepts so that they can easily build upon their knowledge.

My lessons are interleaved with questions and other assessment tasks as well as frequent end of unit exam questions. All this helps to assess the child’s progress and improve memory retention and learning. Practising exam papers also helps consolidate learning and dissipate children’s fears around examinations.

My tutoring sessions are built largely around student’s weaknesses. I identify how each child learn best and teach them using more of that method. I also use everyday examples to explain key concepts which helps build confidence and increase the child’s love and understanding for the subject.
