I`m a writer and poet with a Masters degree in English from the University of Oxford (2017) and a BA from the University of Cambridge (2015; 1st class). I`ve studied British and American literature and history from the middle ages to the present day, as well as Italian and European languages.

I have always enjoyed education and I know how valuable one-to-one sessions can be in a student`s development. I strive to tailor a course of learning around the needs and interests of each individual pupil, and to make the subject enriching and enjoyable as well as rigorous. My high level of academic expertise means I have a wealth of knowledge beyond what is typically covered in class, and I aim to cultivate independence and depth of thoughts in my students to make sure they fulfill their potential.

Availability: I currently have openings on weekday afternoons and evenings.

Experience: In my two years as a tutor, 100% of my GCSE students achieved a Level 8 or above, all my A level students have met their university offers, and tutees taking entrance exams have all been awarded places at their first choice schools.

I currently work as a Teaching Assistant and Supply Teacher at St Anselm`s Primary School, and have done for two years. I create resources, deliver one-to-one and small group support in Maths and English, and teach whole class lessons across the curriculum. I have a strong understanding of the Primary curriculum and am highly experienced in creating engaging lessons around individual children`s learning styles. I have also tutored primary-age children for the past four years. I work hard to build a personal learning relationship with my students in order to make tutorials fun and rewarding, and to ensure my individual learning plans reflect the unique goals of each child. Outside the classroom, I run a popular Drama Club and am First Aid trained.

I have tutored A level and GCSE English, History and Latin for four years. Before St Anselm`s , having previously been employed by Bentley Wood High School in Stanmore. While at Bentley Wood, I taught A level, GCSE and Key Stage Three English and History, both one-to-one and in classes. Many of my students had SEN requirements and I received special training to work with students with dyslexia, autism and hearing impairments. I also ran a number of extra-curricular activities, including a Sixth Form poetry club and a GCSE Public Speaking team.
