I am a highly qualified, very experienced language tutor. I am a Spanish native and have been teaching to `A` Level and beyond,i.e. Oxbridge level, for over 25 years, mainly in local grammar schools. I currently teach in a top grammar school in Trafford. I have been Head of Spanish in one of the most prestigious independent girls`school in England. I have experience as an external Board Examiner. I can provide the level of tutoring you need, from basic conversation to pre-exam preparation and advanced technical learning.
I hold the Cambridge University Proficiency in English Certificate, grade A. I am a Licenciada en FilologÃa Inglesa from Zaragoza University and I also hold the Certificado de Aptitud in English from the Official School of Languages, Spain. I also have a CELTA certificate, enabling me to teach English to students whose mother tongue is not English.
I am (of course) passionate about teaching ! I`m sure you will enjoy your lessons with me and develop your skills in a rapid yet substantive manner.

I have had one lesson with Maria but unfortunately she is away in Spain until mid September. When she returns I will definitely pick up lessons with her again. She is an excellent teacher and certainly made me feel very at ease, yet bringing out the best in me. I am looking forward to my next lesson.

Maria is an excellent tutor. She is enthusiastic and encouraging. She is one of the rare teachers who not only knows her subject but knows how to teach it! Has managed to turn a possible C grade to A in a very short time.

A fantastic teacher. Just what we needed, very helpful , kind and encouraging, but also extremely knowledgeable , both about the language and preparation for exams .
