Information about Sophie
I hope to provide a reliable service to KS3 and GCSE Science students who would like one-to-one online support with their home studies during school closures. I feel many Year 11 students will want to have a firm understanding of Science, whether they find it challenging or hope to study the sciences to A-Level. Although I can adapt my teaching to students of all abilities, I particularly enjoy working with individuals who struggle to keep up with the pace in lessons and would benefit from tailored, one-on-one support. With a love for my subject and many experiences of volunteering with animals, I feel I encourage students to approach their study of science with enthusiasm.
I hold a PGCE and am a Biology graduate with a particular interest in animal behaviour, biological surveying and conservation. I have recently and unexpectedly returned from completing an internship on a conservation project that was carrying out long-term behavioural studies on Asian elephants.
