Information about Nishi

Hi! I`m Nishi and I`m a medical student with tutoring experience. My teaching experience and academic achievements put me in a great place to teach Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology up to a GCSE level. Some of my achievements include: GCSE: 8 A*s and 4 A`s and A level: 3 A`s in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. After the long process of getting into medical school and achieving 3/4 of my choices, I learned that efficiency and enjoyment were the key elements that helped me achieve the results I wanted. Because of my journey, I believe that a relaxed environment is extremely beneficial for learning and brings out the best in students. I always try my best to create a fun environment where students are not afraid to get questions wrong and are inspired to find their learning style and improve their exam techniques. I find it very rewarding to see students achieve their goals with increasing enthusiasm each time, so I always strive towards bringing students to their maximum potential. Lateral and critical thinking are key skills which will enable students to approach and solve any problem they encounter, my lessons will therefore focus on how these skills can enhance exam technique. The structure of the lessons will always be as follows: 1. grasping the content with confidence, 2. exam questions with continuous practice and 3. analysis of the mark scheme in order to understand what examiners are looking for.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: My teaching experience includes: privately tutoring GCSE and 11+ exam students, volunteering and teaching support at the Strathmore School, and giving computer classes at my local library. All these jobs have given me the communication skills and teaching methods that make me the tutor I am today.

I look forward to starting our tutoring journey together!
