As an extremely dedicated and optimistic science tutor, I am passionate about fostering my students’ achievements and helping them unlock their full potential. With a deep love for the subject and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment, I strive to support each student in the most suitable and enthusiastic way possible. I understand that every learner is unique, and I am flexible in my approach, tailoring my teaching methods to fit the individual needs of each student. Together, we’ll explore the wonders of science and build a strong foundation for their academic success!

Availability: Currently I have availability for Wednesday evening time and any time Thursday and Friday (including daytime)

I run group sessions for GCSE students so please reach out if you would like more information on this.

If you are an GCSE or Home-Schooled student I do have weekday availability that we can utilise to fit your current schedule (eg using free periods, late starts, early finishes etc), which should provide more options for suitable days and times.

Experience: With over 8 years of classroom teaching experience, I have developed a robust skill set that enables me to effectively engage and support my students. Currently, I work as an Academy Science Teacher and Key Stage Curriculum Lead, where I oversee curriculum development and implementation for science education. My experience includes working with EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND students, ensuring that all learners receive the support they need to thrive.

As a STEM Lead for Science at the KS3 level, I am dedicated to providing students with diverse opportunities to bridge knowledge gaps and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts. My role as an Achievement Leader further allows me to focus on creating strategies that promote engagement and academic success for all students. Additionally, I serve as an AQA examiner, which gives me valuable insights into assessment standards and expectations, further enriching my teaching approach.

I also offer group tutoring which is not shown in the options (no drop down box was applicable), which has the added benefits of peer support, enthusiastic scientific discourse, and motivation for the students enrolled. Not to mention, this is at a lower rate than one-to-one sessions, so good value for money.
