As a fully qualified and experienced Science teacher and Key Stage Lead, I’ve spent several years helping students excel in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I have a deep understanding of exam requirements and marking criteria, allowing me to help students improve both knowledge and exam technique effectively.

My lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals — whether that’s building confidence, moving up a grade boundary, or mastering challenging exam questions. I take pride in creating a supportive environment where every student feels motivated to achieve their full potential.

Many of my students have exceeded their target grades and developed a lasting confidence in Science — something I aim to bring to every session.

Together, we’ll strengthen understanding, boost exam performance, and make Science genuinely enjoyable to learn.

Availability: I currently have availability on Wednesday evenings, and any time on Thursdays and Fridays (including daytime).

I also run small group sessions for GCSE students, which can be a great option for collaborative learning and shared costs.

If you are a GCSE or Home-Schooled student, I can offer flexible weekday sessions that fit around your schedule (e.g., free periods, late starts, or early finishes).

Experience: With over 8 years of classroom teaching experience, I have developed a robust skill set that enables me to effectively engage, challenge, and support students of all abilities. Currently, I work as an Academy Science Teacher and Key Stage Curriculum Lead, where I oversee curriculum development and implementation for Science across KS3 and KS4.

My experience includes working extensively with EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND students, ensuring that every learner receives the personalised support they need to thrive.

As a STEM Lead for Science and Achievement Leader, I focus on developing strategies that close knowledge gaps, strengthen exam performance, and build long-term academic confidence. I also have experience as an AQA examiner, which gives me valuable insight into how exam questions are marked — helping students master the skills needed to achieve higher grades.
