I am enthusiastic and energetic. I spend a lot of time reading about new scientific discoveries and ideas in order to keep up to date with my subject knowledge. In my spare time I play the flute and am a qualified archery leader with GNAS.
Availability: Most evenings and weekends. I can also do some daytime slots but this varies according to my school timetable. I am happy to negotiate the best time for any student.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: 20 years teaching Science (primarily Biology and Chemistry) and maths in secondary schools in the Guildford area.
A further 4 years of experience in prep schools, delivering science lessons to all years (3-8) and in particular preparing children for scholarship exams; including for Eton, Harrow and Winchester.
Throughout my entire career I have also had private students to tutor at all levels from age 8 to 18.

Liz is a brilliant tutor who is very methodical and thorough in her explanations. My daughter gets on really well with her and reports that in the few sessions she has had with Liz, she has gained knowledge and understanding of some dhemistry tricky concepts. Highly recommended!
