My name is Ajit and I am a Physics graduate from the University of Warwick with over 10 years and 6,000+ hours of tutoring experience.
I specialise in:
• GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Combined Science
• A-Level Maths and Physics
• All major exam boards
I have taught students across a wide range of abilities, from those struggling with the fundamentals to students aiming for the highest grades. My approach is patient, structured and tailored to the individual student.
My lessons focus on two core areas:
1. Theory – identifying gaps in knowledge, explaining difficult concepts clearly and ensuring the student develops a thorough understanding of the material.
2. Problem-solving and exam technique – breaking down questions, recognising what the examiner is looking for, understanding where marks are gained and lost, and gradually developing independence.
As part of my tuition, I can also provide individualised homework, regular progress updates for parents, marked assessments and exam-style practice, as well as free access to my own teaching resources, which are used by schools across the UK.
I hold a First Class Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Warwick, a Level 3 Tutor Training Qualification and an Enhanced DBS certificate.
I tutor both online and face-to-face in and around Wolverhampton.
Availability: Weekday evenings after 4pm and weekends. Some daytime availability may also be available by arrangement.

Experience: Over 6,000 hours of one-to-one tutoring completed across more than 10 years, teaching GCSE Maths and Sciences and A-Level Maths and Physics.

This was my nephew’s first lesson with Mr Atwal, my nephew was assessed on his knowledge regarding the subject area. Mr Atwal clearly assisted my nephew to gain an understanding of questions he had difficulty with. My nephew is looking forward to his next lesson. Thank you Mr Atwal.

Ajit has been tutoring my son in `A` Level Physics for a few weeks now. My son has definitely enjoyed his lessons with Ajit. Everything is explained clearly to him and Ajit allows him to ask questions and lead the sessions. My son has said that where he didn`t understand something he had learned at school, Ajit has been able to explain concepts to him in a clear and logical manner. I was worried about tutoring through Zoom because of Covid19. However, there was no need to worry as Ajit uses a white board during his lessons to teach my son. My son has said he is definitely benefitting from these tutorials and it has improved his confidence in studying `A` Level Physics. At the end of each session, Ajit sets homework sheets to be completed by the following week which consolidates my son`s learning. I would definitely recommend Ajit as a tutor!
