Tutoring in Maths, Physics, Python and C++. James recently finished his PhD at The University of Manchester and has a first-class Mater`s degree in Physics. He`s friendly and aims to pass his passion onto each student he teaches.

James structures his sessions around the needs of the student, but takes time to prepare engaging content to help facilitate better learning.

Availability: Tutoring sessions available mornings, afternoons and evenings. Weekend sessions also available.

PhD graduate in 2021 from The University of Manchester.
First class Master`s degree in Physics from The University of Manchester, graduating in 2016.
A levels: Maths (A*), Physics (A*), Chemistry (B) from The North Halifax Grammar School.

Teaching experience:

Tutorial teacher, The University of Manchester, 2018 - 2019. The teaching involved six 1-hour tutorial classes to a group of 40 undergraduate students, where I took the student through numerical questions.

Lecturing experience, The University of Manchester, 2018 - 2020. Held a one-hour thermodynamics lecture to a group of 200 undergraduate students. Held a one-hour climate change lecture to a group of 40 Master’s students.

Undergraduate supervisor, The University of Manchester, 2020 – 2021. Co-supervised two undergraduate dissertation projects in the department for Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering.
