My teaching approach encourages learning in context, interactivity and discovery based exercises.
I have covered a variety of textbooks and think it is important to include a variety of different activities and skills to cater to different learner types and give all skills areas equal focus. I am flexible with material and any syllabus I may have to follow.
I am a confident, organised and enthusiastic teacher and take pride in my interactive and engaging lesson content. I find it essential to build trusting rapport with my students, to encourage them and create an atmosphere where we work together for them to achieve their full potential.
For me it`s important to create an environment where students feel no hesitation to ask questions or voice any areas they are having difficulty with. The reward of seeing a student develop and grow in confidence is what motivates me as a teacher.
Availability: I am available for online teaching sessions between 9am-5pm Monday to Fridays.
Sessions can range from 1 hour to 2.5 hours depending on student needs.
I would just required 48 hours notice before sessions to organise my schedule!

2014 January, University of Sussex, East Sussex, Associate Tutor for undergraduates.
Leading Marketing Communications seminars for third year (Level 6) Marketing and Management (BSc) students. Organisation, leadership and classroom management skills further developed from previous teaching experience.
Involves the creation of seminar and assignment content: focusing heavily on the expansion of lecture material, and developing analytic skills with long and short case studies. Helping students with assignment work and exam preparation and the marking of final year assignments.
2013 September- December, Complex Needs Association Project, Brighton, English Teacher
This involved teaching basic English at beginner level to an adult learner with Post-traumatic stress disorder and reading skills to an adult learner with mental health problems. Although challenging, this was a rewarding experience and required me to adapt my teaching and communications skills to meet different learner types.

Developing individual lesson plans for each student, monitoring their ability and preparing homework.
This involved preparing students for IELTs exam. Extensive practice of key skills including reading, writing, speaking listening. Developing students analytical skills and teaching students sophisticated vocabulary.
