Information about Verity
I graduated from RADA in 2013, and have worked in the industry since then. I love working with people of all ages to grow their creativity and confidence through acting. I am also a writer and enjoy tutoring any creative subjects. I have a full, clean DBS Certificate.
I am originally from North Yorkshire, but am now based in South London.
Availability: Very flexible- daytimes, evenings and weekends to suit you.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I left home at 18 to study acting at RADA. I loved every minute of my time there, learning from teachers and directors with incredible experience.
Since then I have worked at the RSC, Leeds Playhouse, Bath Theatre Royal, Pleasance Theatre and the RADA festival.
In addition to this, I am also a writer, co-writing my show Nor Woman Neither with a fellow RADA grad. We had much acclaim at the RADA festival, and at The Tristan Bates Theatre where we received several 5 and 4* reviews.
In addition to this, I have worked in schools as a teaching assistant for several years so am highly skilled at working with students one on one in a variety of different subjects- particularly English, Drama and Creative Writing.
Some reviews I have received for my acting work:
Verity steals the show as the clubs over-enthusiastic newcomer Ed Montgomery, whose every well-timed punchline manages to be ignorant, inappropriate and absolutely hilarious. - Review for Posh- The All Female Production by Corrie Tan, The Guardian
Verity is hilarious as an over-eager new recruit with an embarrassing Brideshead-esque attachment to his teddy bear. Sam Marlowe, The Times
Verity is a revelation as Annie Oakley in a performance that is exuberant and bursting with energy, displaying a wide range of emotions and acting skills. - The Stage, Rich Jevons
