I am currently studying for an MA in Classics at King’s College London having graduated in 2013 with a high 2:1 in Classics from the University of Cambridge. I am therefore confident and very able to teach Latin and Classics from beginner’s through to university level with great passion and enthusiasm. Alongside Latin literature and language, I also specialised in Classical Art at university and, after graduating, spent over two years working in the Antiquities Department of Bonhams Auctioneers. Not only is this is a testament to my love, knowledge and expertise in the field, but it also allows me to offer tutoring specifically in the art of ancient Greece and Rome to a high level.

I have a very genuine love of my subject and an enthusiasm which is contagious. I would hope that my passion for the subject would inspire students’ interest for, and therefore proficiency in, this subject area as I strongly believe that enjoyment of a subject is a vital factor in a student’s success.

Experience: While in Lower Sixth at school I taught Latin to a small class of four Year 9 students once a week and furthered my teaching experience whilst at university through one-to-one tutoring. For two summers I worked as a Director’s Assistant, an administrative position, on the renowned JACT Greek Summer School, which involved being a point of contact for the students. This helped me to develop my student communication skills and also gave me a good insight into a course that is compulsory for any student that is offered a place to read Classics at Cambridge.
