Experience: Graduated in Trinity College LTCL in Violin (Masters). Currently active member of The University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Manchester String Orchestra. Joined the Aberystwyth Philomusica and Aberystwyth Wind Band. Over 20 years of music experiences. Over 6 years of teaching experiences. Have been learning, practising and expertising in music all my life. More like an exchange in music between music lovers rather than boring lessons. clearly a guy with alot of talent and skill, however none of that translates to his teaching, we only had a first lesson with the idea of booking more but from just the taster class it was clear he had no structure nor idea how to teach. I explained what my goals where with the classes, and discovered he has no set of books he uses, no lesson plans, no steps and he goes so fast nothing was able to stick in. I have had some great tutors from here, for example my Spanish tutor came with a book she uses, and each lesson we would work on the book, and the next lesson recap and move forwards, with regular homework set, there was stuff to practise materials I could download and progress was made really quick, lui asked if I had any violin books, he came with none!, didn`t have any to recommend, showed a violin hand position then told me to play a note, didn`t correct me on how to do it, the noise sounded awful with no real guidance on how to correct anything, I had mentioned other instruments I wanted to learn to play like the piano, and he started playing my piano in my living room for some weird reason when I had never booked or spoke about a piano lesson with him this lesson was for violin, it was all very weird, nice guy though but wasn`t a good fit for what I needed.

This student was late for lesson at her house and didn’t pay for the lesson. And perhaps this student should focus on one instrument first instead of 2 or more instruments. I didn’t receive payment for the lesson after nearly a month now. No matter what, student should pay for lessons or services that they have enjoyed, even only for one lesson. Didn’t state clearly what she want to learn and achieve. Seems like she just want to learn every instruments without a clear direction. Poor communication from this student, very different to good communication with my other students. Generally a good lady but maybe just not my student.
