I`m a qualified teacher and former university lecturer, and I`ve worked as a personal tutor from graduation up to the present day, with a total of over 35 years` experience. I joined the TutorHunt team in 2019 and provide online support for undergraduates working towards a chemistry degree, offering organic chemistry tutorials including organometallic chemistry. Currently and for the foreseeable future, tutorials are available online only, and my hourly rate for online chemistry tuition at undergraduate level is £50.

My aim as an online tutor is to increase students` confidence in organic chemistry and make it enjoyable, while securing the knowledge and understanding needed to succeed in their degree. In addition to organic, I can usually help with physical and inorganic chemistry from first year studies.

Working at this level began as a College supervisor and University demonstrator for Chemistry within the Natural Sciences tripos at Cambridge. I have authored several published chemistry books up to and including degree level which I continue to use with students. In recent academic years I`ve worked with first, second and final year undergraduates who were studying for Bachelor`s chemistry degrees. 2023: "Dear Bernard, I just wanted to send a quick email to thank you so much for all your help. My exam on Monday went well (I hope), especially the organic questions! I feel like I`ve come a long way mostly thanks to your notes and help so I just wanted to say how grateful I am for that." (Edinburgh 3rd year student)
2022: "Dear Bernard, I just received my Part IA results, and thought I would share them with you: Organic 74% and averaged 73% giving a First Class result overall.
