Information about John
I am an experienced tutor and a specialist in Maths and Physics. I have an easy going friendly approach with students and my first priority is that students learn in a safe and conducive environment.
Availability: I am currently available during most weekday evenings.
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I worked for fifteen years at Falmouth School as a physics specialist. For most of that time I was in charge of A` Level Physics provision. For 9 years I was lead teacher for Key Stage 4 science. Since leaving Falmouth to become a specialist contractor and tutor I have taught in many schools in mid and West Cornwall including Cape Cornwall, Newquay Tretherass, Penrice Academy and Humphry Davy School. I also work for Savvy Education as a tutor and I have worked closely with students with a wide variety of needs including ASD, social anxiety and attachment issues. I find this work incredibly rewarding and have had a high degree of success.

Great Tutor, friendly and flexible. Started with him teaching one on one and the due to Covid went to online. Works well and looking forward to continue with John till my son finishes his GCSEs next year.

We have a 13yr old who was struggling with confidence in GCSE Maths. The tutor we have found is very good, our son looks forward to his sessions and his tutor keeps us informed as to how he’s doing. Thank you John

John has been helping our son gain some extra confidence with maths. We have only had a few sessions but he is reliable and our son finds working with him very easy. I would happily recommend him to others.
