Hi, my name is Conor. I am a graduate of the University of Portsmouth where I completed an upper second class BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry in 2009, after which I undertook a PGCE in Secondary Science at the University of Southampton. Since finishing teacher training, I have worked as an Analytical Chemist in industry, where I have co-authored published research papers. I am currently working full time as a professional Science and Maths tutor in the Southampton and Winchester areas, teaching at GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate.

Availability: I am currently studying for a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics at King`s College London so I am only available on Saturdays for tuition or a weekday evening.

Experience: After finishing my degree eight years ago, I set up my own private tuition business and I am now tutoring full-time in the Southampton and Winchester areas as a science and maths tutor. This has given me the opportunity to gain a great deal of experience in supporting many young students through their GCSE’s and A-levels.

I have also worked in several local secondary schools and local sixth form colleges, where I have taught a wide range of children and young adults with a diverse mix of abilities and interests in science and maths.

Through my experience, I have learned how to motivate and to engage those who have struggled and those who wish to be challenged, and have had great success in helping a large number of students pass their exams and achieve their goals. I have been teaching for the last four years, of which the last two have been full-time.

I have gained extensive experience with the WJEC Biology and OCR Salters Chemistry syllabuses in particular, among several others. I keep up to date with all major syllabus changes and cover all science and maths courses at GCSE and A-Level.
