Experienced teacher and graduate at both Batchelor (Kingston) and double Masters (Brunel, AECC UC) level. PGCE with QTS (Greenwich). Previously achieved highest GCSE PE results for AQA in Bucks and regularly amongst top results at GCSE and A Level. Also a Chiropractor (award for highest academic achievement in cohort) and Exercise Physiologist, working with the general public, athletes and hosting and presenting sports events. Teaching and supporting learners across the AQA, OCR and Pearson curriculums, with a specialism in Applied physiology and biomechanics (often viewed as the toughest area for learners). Experienced in supporting Sport Science students and Personal Trainers. Currently teaching remotely via Zoom and from my home office. I love tutoring and enjoy the progress my students make each and every session as we bridge gaps in learning and support their studies to push towards the grade they want. I always see a class as a collection of individuals, so tutoring one-to-one is an opportunity to offer a differentiated pathway to each individual. Previous experience teaching in further education colleges (A Level and BTEC courses) and schools. Achieving high grades amongst both GCSE and A Level Physical Education students year on year. Able to teach across the curriculum. Strong knowledge of examination material and the requirements of exams across the examination boards. Lots of experience delivering effective teaching and learning online and one-to-one. Higher education students in sport science, rehabilitation, coaching and teaching benefit from research skills, curricular content and how to interpret essay titles to achieve highly without resulting to AI.
