I am an English tutor with an excellent academic record and nearly a decade’s tutoring experience. Currently I provide 1) private one-to-one lessons at all levels from KS3 to university level and 2) small-group GCSE support sessions in Norwich-based schools. To help realise your goals, I identify your aims, areas for improvement and individual learning styles. I set high but realistic expectations and encourage my students to achieve their highest potential. Above all, I recognise that respect and rapport between teacher and student is vital for success.

Availability: Evenings, some weekend slots available.

Experience: I have a very strong intellectual grasp of the subject, recently having received a doctorate for my research on English Literature. More importantly, though, I understand the knowledge and skills required at every level of the education system and I am good at communicating them to my students. I have an excellent working knowledge of KS3, 4 and 5 and all major exam boards, and have been teaching the new 9-1 GCSE syllabus for the past two years.
