Experience: __ FULLY BOOKED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, VERY SORRY __
I have tutored a variety of students at a wide range of levels, from pupils preparing for the Eleven Plus to Oxford applicants and university undergraduates. I have also taught English at Tsing Hua university, the no.1 ranked university in China.
From March, having completed my training contract at a City Law Firm I have been tutoring on a more permanent basis. The selection of assignments below gives a flavour of this work:
- A full-time two week placement with an Italian family, working with their son to help him match his peer group with regard to the UK syllabus.
- Two x 2 week placements with nine and eleven year-old siblings in Hong Kong, helping them build their Maths and English skills to ensure they enjoyed their summer whilst being well prepared for the upcoming school year.
- 100+ hours tutoring various GCSE students for a variety of subjects. E.g I guided a high-achiever who had fallen behind due to her own lengthy illness and perceived poor school teaching from Bs in her January mocks to eventual A*s in all three science subjects.
- 30+ hours over a year with a 13 year-old student, helping with prep and further work in a range of subjects towards a successful admission to Winchester.
- 10+ hours over a two week period tutoring a gap year student for the ELAT exam and Oxford interviews; she successfully gained a place to read English.
