I studied Business Studies at both GCSE and A-level. I then went onto complete my Business Management degree at the University of Wolverhampton and graduated in June 2010. I followed this up with a QTS in Business Studies & Economics (Robert Owen Group, Birmingham City University).

I started teaching in September 2010 and since then I have gone on to implement and deliver various courses within my department. I currently teach Years 9 – 13. Year 9, 10 and 11 – BTEC Business Level 2. Year 12 & 13 - BTEC Business Level 3, and Edexcel A Level Business. I also have experience in teaching GCSE Business, A Level Economics and BTEC Public Services

During the last academic year I was given the opportunity to be temporary Head of Department for Business Studies, Economics & Public Services. Under my management Year 13 achieved a 100% pass rate in Business Studies, Economics and Public Services with all students meeting or exceeded their target grade.Year 11 achieved a pass rate of 97%. 17% of Year 11 students achieved a grade 7+ or higher with all students who completed the course meeting or exceeding their target grade.

I can provide 1-2 hour sessions at the students residence. If students would like to be tutored as part of a small group then this can be discussed further.

Availability: Tutoring is something I thoroughly enjoy and gain immense satisfaction from helping students reach their potential. Sessions will be catered to meet the specific needs of the student, this will be planned and discussed at the first session.

Experience: Currently I am a full time Business Studies & Economics teacher and a part-time tutor. I have over 7 years teaching experience at Joseph Leckie Academy in Walsall, teaching both Business, Economics, Public Services. I have also started to teach Computer Science. Over the last 3 years I have been observed multiple times by the senior leadership team within the Academy and I have been rated as an Outstanding Teacher.

I have just started assessing for Edexcel, which has provided me a greater insight into marking criteria thus allowing me to further assist students maximise their exam marks.
