I am adept at tailoring 1:1 tuition to students’ needs and understand that a combination of confidence building alongside expert teaching of key skills can maximise both attainment and a student’s sense of competence and growing independence.

Through my years as an English examiner, I have an intimate understanding of the key ingredients required for the best possible responses to either English Language or Literature papers and am highly successful at incrementally supporting students to progress through the grades, whether aiming to pass at level 4-5 or achieve a Level 9.

I have a proven track record of success at KS3-5 within the school setting. As a 1:1 tutor I have been delighted to see my students at both Ks3 and KS4 flourish as they have gained in confidence and skill. Students and parents have been kind enough to compliment me on these aspects of tutoring.

Availability: Monday Wednesday and Friday 3-8pm.
Some Saturday mornings by prior arrangement.
Some holidays ( including the Summer break by prior arrangment.)
