Trained by the leading UK graduate teaching programme, I am currently a head of History at a boy’s school in West London. I am a young, enthusiastic teacher who is able to tutor History to a wide variety of ages, either for exam preparation, writing technique or to increase confidence in History. I have a high success rate of students achieving the grades they need for university.

Availability: Available after school hours 5.30-9pm
Weekends 9-5pm

Experience: I have experience in teaching the new 9-1 GCSE as well as the new linear A-Level. I am able to tutor students requiring help with historical concepts, terms and key exam skills or to clarify or teach historical knowledge.

My key specialist areas are Nazi Germany, The Tudors, War of the Roses and Elizabeth I.

I am currently an OCR examiner for the new History linear A-Level for 2017, 2018 and 2019, 2020 and so have received extensive training on exam technique and mark schemes.

For 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 I obtained 100% A* to A for all students in their coursework.

I have experience in tutoring the following OCR Units:
Tudors (early, later)
War of the Roses
Churchill and Britain
Russia and its’ Rulers
The Cold War
Germany (Weimar and Nazi period)
The Middle East
The French Revolution and Napoleon

I have experience in teaching the History Common Entrance exam, as well as specific school’s scholarship paper.

Results 2020:
All 8 of tutees received the results they needed for their university choice.
5 A grades, at Nottingham, Durham, Cambridge, Leeds, Exeter and Edinburgh
3 B grades studying at Southampton, Birmingham and Nottingham

Results 2019
All 4 students received A* in their 4000 word extended writing coursework
1 A* to read Law at Exeter.
3 A grade students to read History, Economics and English at Edinburgh, Nottingham and Bristol respectively.

Results summer 2018:
All 6 of my tutees received the results they needed for their first university choice.
1 A* Grade, student to read History at Durham university
3 A Grade students that are due to start at LSE, UCL and Nottingham university
2 B Grade students, one to study Law at Surrey university and the other is studying Art.


All students took the OCR syllabus.
