I am a friendly and enthusiastic 1st year medical student at University College London. My goals as a tutor are to help my students achieve to their full potential, as well as instilling a ‘can do!’ attitude and an enthusiasm for learning.
I achieved all Grade 9s and A*-A standard at GCSE and A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Having recently completed my exams, I can bring a fresh perspective on how to tackle exam questions effectively. I aim to provide valuable insights into what examiners are looking for and the techniques needed to secure top marks, helping you excel in your studies.
I can additionally offer guidance to prospective medical students on both applications and interview practice.

Experience: Having tutored 2 GCSE students in Science and Maths for almost a year, and a year 7 student in Maths, as well as offering numerous mock interviews to medical sol applicants, I have developed proactive and interactive teaching methods and learned the importance of an individualised approach. I have a solid understanding of the Maths and Science syllabus and know what examiners look for, enabling me to guide students towards success in their exams.

Solid understanding of key concepts, active recall and exam technique are crucial to exam success.
My tutoring sessions focus on asking targeted questions to check students` understanding and identify areas of weakness. By pinpointing these gaps, I can help students overcome them and build a stronger foundation of knowledge. I reinforce understanding by re-explaining specific topics as needed, using active recall and spaced repetition throughout and between sessions. I use exam papers to give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical context to help them become more confident and prepare for their exams.
