Information about Susannah
I completed a MChem Chemistry from Sussex University and whilst there did some original research into the synthesis of titanium dioxide nanotubes. In the future, this technology will be used to make very efficient solar cells.
I am a chemistry teacher who is Subject Lead for BTEC at London college, and I have also got extenaive A level experience, having previously been head of chemistry at a sixth form college in Hackney, teaching A level and iGCSE Chemistry, and BTEC Applied Science.
I am an experienced professional chemist. I have worked in an analytical chemistry lab doing wet chemical analysis and find it really useful for students that I can bring my practical knowledge along to lessons and relate their theory to something in the real world!
I also play flute to a semi-professional level, I am a qualified trampoline coach and I ice skate!
I love teaching, and contributing to a students success.
I enjoy having a really good rapport with my students. I am young and enthusiastic, and I am still studying myself so I have lots of useful advice!
Availability: I will happily do tutoring via zoom whilst we are under lockdown. These lessons need to be paid in advance by online banking, but as I have no petrol costs or travel time, there are £25 an hour for A level and £20 an hour for GCSE or below.
