More than ever students are looking for that extra 1-1 to boost understanding and really explore the elements of a text or an exam paper. I am sure that many year 10, 11,12 and 13 students would benefit from on-line tutoring, I am more than happy to proceed this way for the foreseeable future. I can teach all specs, and have taught a myriad of GCSE texts for over 22 years: Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, Animal Farm,Lord of the Flies, A Christmas Carol and the anthologies of poetry. I have also taught many Edexcel and AQA A level texts for the past 22 years and have worked for Edexcel as a coursework moderator. I am passionate about English literature and have been teaching for 22 years. I have 4 grown up children and 10 grandchildren and feel I have always encouraged them to bring out the best in themselves, both personally and academically. I relate well to young people and am patient, I particularly love inspiring my students to love literature as much as I do! My feedback from my tutees is positive and every year I help my students at school achieve their target grades and beyond.

Experience: I have recently resigned as head of KS5 English at a grammar school, however am still working for an exam board as a moderator fro the NEU (Coursework). I have taught English at a local grammar school for the past 22 years. My key interest is in literature for A level with Edexcel, OCR or AQA and GCSE but am also confident with Edexcel, the IGCSE spec, and the Welsh Board. I have high success rates with the students I teach at my school, both for GCSE and A level. and have successfully tutored tutor hunt students via zoom to success.
