Hi! My name is Sohail, and I am a mathematics graduate from the University of Birmingham. I have been tutoring mathematics for over 8 years and hope to continue for many more! I’ve supported students in improving their confidence, mastering exam techniques, and achieving strong results — including moving up sets at school and hitting their target grades.

For my A-levels, I achieved an A* in Mathematics and an A in Further Mathematics. Between these two subjects, I developed a strong and broad understanding of mathematics, covering the following modules: Core 1, Core 2, Core 3, Core 4, Statistics 1, Statistics 2, Mechanics 1, Decision Mathematics 1, Decision Mathematics 2, Numerical Methods, Further Pure 1, and Further Pure 2.

My lessons are tailored to each student`s level, with a clear and structured approach to learning the methods needed to succeed in exams. I focus heavily on explaining techniques in a simple way, practising exam-style questions, and encouraging students to enjoy mathematics. Lessons can be student-led (if they have topics in mind) or I can guide the content based on common challenges and key exam areas.
