Information about Alanna
I am an experienced teacher of Religious Studies, Philosophy and Critical Thinking across a number of boards, qualifications and topics. I am also a Critical Thinking A Level examiner, and am the Oxbridge advisor at my school (and happy to tutor on the application process, UCAS and Oxbridge preparation). In addition, I manage the Extended Projects at my school and can mentor students undertaking dissertations.
I have a particular interest in essay skills and philosophical argumentation, and have developed a number of techniques to help students to improve these.
In terms of my own qualification, I currently teach at an independent school in Kent (Philosophy, RS, Extended Projects and Critical Thinking), and have been teaching for nearly a decade. Prior to this, I gained both my BA and M.Phil from Cambridge University, where I graduated with a first with distinction in Theology and Religious Studies.
