I believe students should be taught science in a way that makes sense to them. Each student is at a different stage in their learning, and so require a different approach in teaching them science.

My approach is to help the student feel calm, confident and teach at a pace they understand. I recap knowledge, use questioning to check understanding, along with past exam questions - breaking them down so the student understands what is being asked, along with the meaning of the command words. I also help prepare for mock exams, up and coming assessments, and reteach previous content.

Having taught in 6 secondary schools for 14 years now, and am still teaching. I therefore have experience of teaching students with all different skills and abilities. I have a particular strength in teaching students who struggle with science.

I am well experienced and qualified to teach Biology and Chemistry GCSE, and General Combined Science.

I have taught and tutored AS level OCR and AQA biology, and have some experience with A2.
