I am a qualified teacher who is now working full time as an online private tutor. I have four years classroom experience, coupled with 6 years of tutoring experience. I work for the Edexcel exam board marking both GCSE and A-Level maths papers, which gives me a great insight into what is expected for these exams.
I match my tutoring to student needs using the recognised technique of the learning cycle. Assessing, learning and reviewing. Students are given regular feedback and know what they can do and what they need to do to improve. During a review phase they gain confidence as they show progress.
I am able to tutor all ages from Year 1 through to Year 13, A-level maths, but have particular specialist knowledge in GCSE and A-level due to my exam work.
I work entirely online.

Availability: I am available evenings during the week, but have developed a system whereby students work at their own pace and have lessons on an adhoc basis as and when required rather than on a formal weekly basis.

Experience: I was a secondary school teacher for 4 years which included teaching maths at KS3 and KS4, both lower ability and higher ability students. I have some experience of teaching in a middle school, KS2 and KS3. I have been tutoring for 3 years, where I have gained experience tutoring from Year 1 all they way through to A-level.
