Information about Jenny
I have just graduated with First Class Honours in Classics from the Univeristy of Cambridge and am about to return to complete a masters in Latin American Studies. My interests include drama, dancing and playing Netball. Over the last year I have tutored 4 different students aged 15-18 in both Latin and Chemistry. For two terms in my first year I volunteered as a teaching assistant in a Year 13 Chemistry class at Long Road Sixth Form College, an experience I really enjoyed and which has taught me valuable lessons, including how to refocus easily distracted students and to teach pupils not much younger than myself. Throughout my time at school I volunteered to work with and teach younger year groups, coaching Netball and participating in my school`s peer-mentoring scheme. In my final two years at school I wrote and directed plays for Years 8, 9 and 10. I am enthusiastic and highly organised and am considering a career in teaching, which is one of my motivations for working as a tutor.
