I am a highly experienced teacher with over 16 years of classroom expertise. I am able to offer support to students with History, English and Politics.

I have taught children of all ages and abilities, including GCSE and A Level, and I am a specialist in A Level Edexcel History coursework.

I am a curriculum specialist and have previously worked as a Curriculum Leader in Year 7 and Year 8, aiming to improve the experience of pupils transitioning from Primary to Secondary school. As part of this role I was responsible for designing and delivering a Literacy curriculum to help pupils who needed more support with the basics, building on the foundation of their KS2 learning.

I have supported my students in achieving very high grades including Grade 8 and 9 at GCSE and A/A* at A Level, but I am also able to help those who are struggling to improve their performance through a tailored approach which breaks down the demands of the subject and engages learners who may lack confidence. I will be guided by the needs of your child, working out areas for development and supporting them with their in-class work and assessments.

I am an examiner for Edexcel GCSE history which has given me an in-depth knowledge of the assessment requirements. I am able to provide help with course content as well as exam specific skills such as source analysis, evaluation of interpretations and more general essay writing techniques.
