Information about Mark
I`m a rather aged (or vastly experienced) teacher who loves seeing students succeed. I have been a GCSE examiner and am part of a great team of teachers who all feed into the input that I give my tutees.
I still have a 100% success rate with resit students, something that I take great pride in. News just in - another group of resit students have just got their results - they all passed, some even doubling their original grades. Very proud of them!
I usually charge £35 but have reduced it to make it more affordable to the average household. I tutor online but will be able to intersperse this with some face-to-face if required.
Availability: Monday evenings, Wednesday evenings, Thursday evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I`ve have taught secondary school English for well over 20 years (years 7-13). I have been part of the AQA Examining team too.

My son got a grade 3 in his GCSE English Language in 2019. He was resitting at college in 2020, but due to COVID he was given a teacher assessed grade - again a grade 3. He applied to sit the exam in November and we engaged Mark at the beginning of September. He worked with my son for two hourly sessions per week over Facetime until the end of October. When the results came out in January we discovered that my son had achieved a grade 6 - 3 grades above his previous results. I couldn`t be happier with the results my son and Mark achieved together. Mark is worth every penny we spent and I would recommend him to anyone.
