I believe learning should be an exciting journey of personal growth on the route to academic success; it shouldn`t ever be a stressful, scary experience. I welcome my learners in a caring environment where mistakes are accepted as a natural and healthy aspect of lifelong learning.

I love the subject I teach and hope to ignite a similarly passionate sociological imagination in my learners. I therefore adopt an holistic approach to teaching, celebrating all learning styles and adapting teaching to suit the individual.

I have a First class BA (Hons) Sociology Degree and First Class PGCE. I am currently the Subject Leader of GCSE Sociology. In 2017 I was awarded a borough prize for outstanding teaching.

Availability: I am available as follows:

Mondays - 8.00 to 9.00 pm
Wednesdays - 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Fridays - 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Saturdays - 9.00 am to 10.00 am
Sundays - 9.00 am to 10.00 am

I am also available during the summer holidays for one or two-hour sessions.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have five years` experience teaching A Level Sociology (AQA Exam Board). I have also taught Anthropology A Level (AQA). I am the Subject Leader of GCSE Sociology (WJEC Exam Board). I have taken part in extensive safeguarding training and much of my daily role involves pastoral care.
