Hi my name is Marc, I am 36 years old and I live in Leicester. I have taught pupils in mainstream schools, mentored PGCE students and coached children in a range of educational environments.


My experience in teaching ranges from mainstream primary education, teaching pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, tutoring a year 9 class and teaching GCSE Science to years 7-9. Experience: My teaching experience extends to eight full time years in mainstream primary education. Within that time I have mentored six PGCE students through their teaching placements. I completed my PGCE (School Direct) in Primary Education at the University of Leicester (outstanding Ofsted inspection, 2015-2016). I was one of the few NQTs to be chosen for the selection process for the Ofsted inspection which included observations. I have Qualified Teacher Status and I am currently a SEN Teacher for an alternative learning provision in Leicester, alongside this I am undertaking a National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership to enhance my knowledge, expertise and teaching practice in the education sector.
I have experience of taking on extra responsibilities in my teaching roles such as Lead for Reading and Physical Education. I have recently been involved in a GOOD Ofsted report, being the lead of a core subject of Reading and Physical Education, this was a proud moment.

My experience extends to being a student mentor whilst studying a Sports Science Degree at Loughborough University and sports coaching at Primary Schools with Premier Sport. In addition to this, I have worked within Primary and Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor across Leicestershire and the midlands, teaching any subject across the curriculum for a number of teaching agencies. I have embarked on my own Personal Training business and worked for the National Citizen Service as a Senior Mentor. Previously, I have acquired experience in Strength and Conditioning coaching at Nottingham Trent University through a company called Sport981.
