Information about Josh

Hi! I`m a final year economics undergraduate student at Durham University, where I study modules in economics and mathematics. I`m passionate about learning and teaching in a way that enables students to enjoy learning concepts, whilst preparing them for their exams. I have experience tutoring A Level economics, helping a student move from grade A to A*.

I`m looking to tutor students in Economics and Maths at A Level, GCSE and below. Feel free to get in touch and let me know your specific tutoring needs.

I studied Economics (A*), History (A), Maths (A*) and Further Maths (A) at A Level.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have experience tutoring A Level economics online, working with students of varying abilities. I tutor students who are struggling with certain aspects of economics, as well as those who are already doing well in their studies and need stretching. For these students I focus on critical evaluation and exam practice, to help them reach the top marks and in some cases, prepare them for university.

I also have experience teaching GCSE Further Maths as a volunteer teaching assistant in a secondary school and helped examine at a further maths tournament of the same level (15 to 16 year olds), that some students attended. In this teaching role I worked with students in small groups and as individuals, enabling them to understand difficult concepts. I also helped prepare them for their exams with practice questions.

I have comprehensive notes and understanding of Economics, Maths and Further Maths at A Level, GCSE and below.

I also work as an economics ambassador at Durham University and have an understanding of the economics recruitment process. In this role I help to organise and run open days in the economics department. This involves making presentations to parents and prospective students and answering their questions about admissions requirements and studying at Durham.

I can offer assistance with economics personal statements.
