Information about Pascal
I have been involved in language teaching for the past 22 years and love to enthuse others in learning French. I have taught GCSE and A level French in several local schools to great success.
I feel that the ability to communicate effectively in the language is the most important aspect as it not only builds confidence and increases enjoyment, but also motivates all language learners to want to learn more.
I am able to offer tuition to KS3, GCSE and A level students to help them gain the best possible grade in their exams and I am about to enrol as an examiner for AQA GCSE and Edexcel A level.
I also work with people who just want to learn to communicate effectively in French to improve their experience when travelling to Francophone countries. I understand that confidence is a major factor in success in speaking in a foreign language and I personalise my teaching to develop that confidence in the people I teach. I am happy to negotiate a rate for groups of learners.
Availability: I am available most afternoons and evenings during the week and can also do Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I am half French and, having spent a lot of time in France, am also a fully fluent French speaker. I have a degree in French and a PGCE in Modern Languages. I was a teacher for 22 years and spent 8 years as Head of Languages at a local school where consistently strong exam results placed us in the top 3% of schools nationally for progress in languages. This was achieved through a focus on communication and enjoyment of language learning which motivated students to succeed.
