Information about Aimee
*** My rate for lessons on TutorHunt reflect compulsory commission charges. Private lessons advertised on alternative sites (not TutorHunt) will be considerably lower to reflect my actual rate. ***
I am a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) available to tutor the primary curriculum on a regular basis (Primary School ages) in Harrogate and surrounding areas. Can prepare for SATs. I aim to make teaching as fun and enjoyable as possible by being enthusiastic about what I am teaching. This can often involve practical lessons as well theory which may hopefully spark further interest. I like to make teaching specifically suited to each learner to enable them to understand clearly and be able to engage with the learning fully. If they struggle to understand, then I find and use other approaches until they do, rather than just move on. I am also able to teach in preparation for SATs.
Availability: Evenings throughout the week, other times and days can be discussed privately.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a fully qualified and DBS checked teacher. I completed my undergraduate degree in Education Studies at York St. John University. Then went on to complete my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Leeds Beckett University, where I have recently graduated as a teacher, specialising in Primary Education. I have taught several year groups and covered a lot of the curriculum. I have a growing interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and love to ensure children understand the importance of inclusion. My aim as a teacher is to ensure children genuinely enjoy what they are learning.
