Information about Shoaib

Hi, I’m Shoaib, a third-year medical student at St George`s Hospital. I know how difficult and stressful school can be – I’ve been through it myself! Teachers do a great job, but are spread thin and don’t get a chance to offer students one-on-one help. This hurts your child`s chances of reaching their full potential.

I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics to students of all abilities. I know what students struggle with, and how to best help them. I take pride in my ability to do this. My first session is all about understanding my students – what they know, what they need, and how they learn best. This means every future session is exactly tailored to what your child needs.

Availability: I`m generally available after school on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
There`s always exceptions though, so please check my availability which I update every week.

Sessions are one to two hours and I teach online. I currently have two spaces per week available. Please contact me ASAP, before these spots are taken.

Experience: I began tutoring when I was at secondary school, my teachers asked me to help students at C/D grade to help make sure they passed their exams. I realised that I enjoyed teaching – and that I was good at it. Since then I’ve tutored friends, siblings and students referred to me by satisfied customers. With one-on-one tutoring, personalised sessions, and a little bit of effort, all my students reached their targets and benefitted from my tutorship.

My main goal when tutoring is to get my student the best grade possible. This comes down to two key components: understanding the content and exam technique. By actually understanding the more difficult concepts, and knowing what to expect in exams, my students feel less anxious about exams and spend their time studying more effectively.

I only tutor Mathematics and the sciences. Having done these at A-Level means I’m very comfortable with my understanding of these subjects. Given my experience tutoring, I know exactly how to teach students in a way that they best understand so that they can hit their target grades.
