Information about Najma
Having been a tutor to over 100 students over the past three years, I have found tutoring students to achieve academic success to be a highly rewarding experience.
My hard work shines through in the degree I currently study and the journey I took to get into a Russel Group Medical School. Achieving a UKCAT score of 795 and a Band 1, I have helped many students over the years with their medical school applications.
By providing students with individualised attention, I can alleviate concerns and insecurities making a significant difference to their educational experience. Taking a holistic approach to learning can massively develop self-confidence, spur a sense of curiosity and stimulate a real love for learning.
Many students receive work not suited to their capabilities and are easily disengaged by school and formal learning. Having been tutored as a child, I found it to be a hugely engaging and dynamic experience during which I learned a huge amount in a short space of time which is a testament to the quality of teaching I was lucky to receive. I relish the challenge of recreating this experience for others.
I pride myself on my ability to adapt my approach to cater each students needs, but on many occasions, I find students appreciate an informal but enthusiastic style. I particularly enjoy developing memory techniques and explaining using analogies to enhance their learning and make the overwhelming seem less daunting.
