My name is Alex, and if you are looking for a languages tutor is friendly, patient, encouraging and knows what they`re doing, then you have come to the right place!

I can help you with your language learning no matter your level; whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced learner, I can help you get where you want to be with your languages.

I am a professional freelance translator and a part-time tutor. I studied Modern Languages (French, Spanish and Italian) at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a first class degree. During my studies I spent time living and studying in countries that spoke my target languages. I lived in Murcia in Spain, Ferrara in Italy, and Tours in France. Following my graduation, I went to live in Mexico for a year, where I taught English with the British Council and further perfected my Spanish. Now I divide my time between my work as a translator and my work as a private languages tutor.

Why me?

Having been a student of languages for many years, I know what works and what doesn`t. I also understand that the most important thing when learning a language is giving it a go and building your confidence. My excellent linguistic skills are backed up by genuine teaching experience.

Availability: I am normally available Monday-Friday from 8am-11am and from 3pm-8pm.

However, if you would prefer a different time, just let me know!

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have studied Modern Languages at the University of Birmingham, receiving first-class honours and a distinction in spoken Italian. I have also lived in Spain, France, Italy and Mexico.

Last year, I taught English at a university in Mexico. Previous to that I taught English on the Erasmus in Schools programme as well as working as a sports coach for summer camps.
