I am a fully qualified secondary school mathematics teacher and maths enthusiast! I graduated from UCL with a BSc mathematics and statistical science degree.

I became interested in primary education after having my children and I have recently spent a term volunteering as a teaching assistant in a primary school. I have three children in school from reception to year 5 and I have spent the last 5 years honing my skills of teaching the primary curriculum in my spare time.

I have worked in a number of secondary outstanding schools and I have taken part in numerous training programs designed to develop excellent teaching skills. My last school was a maths specialist school where the focus was on high quality teaching and learning experiences for all students.

I have taught many exam groups over the years, including both foundation and higher sets. As such, I have a deep understanding of the range of learning needs of students, and I tailor my teaching to suit each individual pupil. I have built a vast catalogue of ways to breakdown and approach the numerous topics in mathematics, and this further adds to my ability to personalise lessons from student to student.

I am a passionate and caring teacher and I take the progress of my students very personally. I am organised, focused and driven by the successes of my students.

Availability: Weekdays from 9.30am - 8pm

Experience: Before qualifying as a teacher, I tutored for 6 years in a number of schools as well as privately.

In my previous school I held one to one lessons for students with extremely low attainment levels in maths. My goal was to boost their confidence in the subject with steady and sustained progress. I worked to fill the gaps in their knowledge so that they would have a good foundation on which to build.

I have an excellent record of raising attainment levels and helping students to overcome difficulties in mathematics as well as a general fear of the subject.
