A professional individual who has experience in programming using a range of languages/platforms. Now working as an engineer for the Ministry of Defence, I am constantly gaining more essential skills to understanding the best way to approach projects.

I graduated from Keele University with a 2:1 in Computer Science BSc in 2012.

I have a rare ability to be able to explain things in both technical terms and English, which can be essential when learning to program as the technical explanation may not always make sense at first.

Availability: Available evenings and weekends, occasionally I may be unavailable due to work travel requirements.

Experience: Since a young age, I have been passionate about programming, and worked on countless personal projects prior to attending University.

Whilst at University, I was involved in many group programming projects beyond that required for assignments, including participation in a team at a developer conference (DevXS). Throughout university, I spent extensive time tutoring my classmates through issues they had with assignments.

Following university, I worked as a web developer for one of the major 3 companies involved in ticketing for Performing Arts venues, some of my most notable projects included Channel 4`s First Dates, Cheltenham Festivals, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas. While working at this company, I provided support to over 50 legacy clients and over 10 new clients. This required me to have a keen ability to identify and resolve bugs in numerous different code bases, while working with other developers and their unique code styles.

Since starting work at the Ministry of Defence, I am no longer programming on a daily basis, however I keep my skills current by programming in my spare time.
