I am a typical guy who likes going out with friends, playing football and golf, listening to music, going the cinema, reading. I enjoy my job, teaching maths at a school in Stoke on Trent.

Availability: I am available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings, Sunday afternoons/evenings.

Experience: I have been teaching maths for 9 years. I have only worked in Stoke On Trent schools despite coming from Crewe originally. I specialise in old GCSE D/C/B grade students (new 4/5/6/7 grade) but would be more than happy to help anyone with any aspiration to improve their maths. I don`t teach a lot of grade 8/9 content so pupils aiming at these levels would perhaps not be ideal for me.

As a maths teacher I take pain to explain in detail why processes work and how they link together. I enjoy the challenge of teaching for problem solving and am a big believer in the power of multiple representations of a problem, particularly the use of diagrams.

I have access to a wide range of pre-prepared material as well as the capabilities of making my own resources as and when this is necessary.

I have done one to one/small group tuition in every school I have worked at and have a good success rate of getting the people I have worked with to improve their grades. I have recently started a tuition group on a Sunday morning which involves KS2/3 children, which I have enjoyed.
