I have been working at the University of Warwick as a Junior Teaching Fellow in the Chemistry Department for the past two years. My main focus is to help students reach their potential. I believe that with an adaptable and supportive teacher, any student willing to work hard can achieve their goals.

My current role at the University of Warwick finds me teaching regularly to small groups in the teaching labs. I also teach small group tutorials and larger group workshops. I am also currently working towards achieving Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy which recognizes excellence in higher education teaching practices. I am a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and hold a doctorate (PhD) in Chemistry from Loughborough University, where my research was the synthesis of new anti-inflammatory compounds based on natural products found in fish oils. Prior to this, I gained an MChem Masters degree in Chemistry from Nottingham Trent University.

In addition to teaching at Warwick I also do work in schools to promote science and particularly, chemistry! This has involved doing "Magic of Science" experiment demonstrations in assemblies, organizing visits for schools to visit Warwick Chemistry teaching labs and giving information talks on higher education.
