I am highly experienced and very enthusiastic as I get great personal satisfaction from enabling students to gain confidence and reach their full potential. Lessons are positive and offer strategies to ensure tutees develop a `can do` approach to the subject. I tailor the work to suit each individual student`s needs.
I am friendly and approachable.
I have a basic DBS certificate, providing vital reassurance to parents.

Availability: I usually teach during the day and early evening from Monday to Thursday.
I prefer to teach in my own home where I have all my resources and a large, well equipped study.

Experience: I taught for 39 years in secondary school and was rated `outstanding` by Ofsted.

I have tutored a wide range of ages and abilities with excellent success, whether it be gifted students or those who have specific difficulties with English. I am also experienced in preparing students for the English components of 11+ and entrance exams.
