Information about Eleanor
I am a newly graduated actor with a diploma and a 2:1 in English literature from Canterbury. I work partly as an actor, partly as a teaching assistant and partly as a tutor. In my free time I`m a keen reader and enjoy many sporting activities. I`ve always loved learning and working with others, so when I started tutoring I realised what a perfect career this was for me. For me tutoring is all about making learning fun and unique for your student. I am happy to help with GCSE Physics, Biology, History and up to degree level English. I also offer adult learning in Speech giving. I am happy to travel in central London and have an up to date enhanced DBS certificate.
Availability: I am available weekday afternoons and evenings.
I can also work Saturdays.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: Most of my teaching experience comes through my day to day teaching work with Protocol Education. I have worked at schools teaching small groups of students, as well as with single students, from the age of three upwards. Much of my work has been with children with learning difficulties at SEND schools. One of the many things I`ve learnt through this last five months of work, is that each student will approach a task differently, and therefore, a tutor must be ready with new techniques to explain subjects and enhance learning.
Having studied acting and speech at The Poor School in Kings Cross, I have given tutoring sessions to adults in need of help public speaking. This was a very rewarding tutoring experience, as I was able to use a diverse range of physical and text based excercises to enhance my clients speech.
