I have been a science teacher for 25 years in the South East Essex area. I live in Burnham-on-Crouch with my wife and our 3 sons aged 20, 17 & 15. I understand the challenges faced by pupils with the current science syllabus and my aim is to break down difficult topics into manageable and understandable components. I am passionate about science as a subject and I aim to be engaging in my style of teaching. Throughout my career my lessons have been graded as `very good` by inspectors and professional colleagues. As a teacher my priority is always to help students achieve their goals, if this means I need to mix up my teaching styles and tackle topics from a different angle I will do so.
Availability: Depending on location I am available on most week evenings except Tuesday`s due to sport commitments.
At weekends available Sunday and Saturday mornings

Experience: Taught at Deanes School(Science Teacher) from 1996-2000.
Moved to Westcliff High School for Girls as KS3 Coordinator and teacher of A Level Chemistry. 2000-2002
Moved back to Deanes School as Second in Science and became Head of Science for 5 years.
Finally moved to William De Ferrers School in 2011 as Head of Science.
I have taught Biology Chemistry and Physics up to KS4 GCSE including Triple Science.
Also taught AS-level Chemistry.

My daughter has been having online lessons with David for a few weeks now and they are going really well. She`s always really buzzing after the lessons - she says that they`ve helped her understand subjects which she previously found confusing. It`s really boosted her confidence and has been worth every penny.

he is a very nice person and my daughter very much likes him. It helps her to actually listen and pay attention to the teacher when they’re able to convey and support a child to want to learn a subject.
